My Spring Essentials

Now that the weather is getting warmer, it’s time to bust out the fake tan and razors again! These are some of my favourite products, just perfect for the Spring lifestyle: Spring Essentials 1. A Great Fake Tan Eco Tan Invisible Tan I’ve reviewed this one before, and I’m still loving it. It’s super easy to apply and hard to stuff up. It’ll only leave behind a gorgeous bronze tan with no nasty chemicals or orange colour in sight. The colour in the tan is derived from cacao (chocolate) so it does not contain green or orange tones. I love […]

Tried & Tested: Modibodi Period Proof Underwear

I’m going to deviate from face & body beauty care today, to something less spoken of but just as important – looking after your lady parts. I know a lot of you are going to squirm over this post, and yes even I’m slightly uncomfortable sharing, but I can’t not share this amazing product. Whilst I haven’t had a period in 8 months, I have experienced another down-there issue that’s so common with pregnancy. Thanks to all those amazing hormones and changes, protecting and growing your little one, pregnant women experience a range of changes from increased discharge to bladder […]

10 Christmas Gift Ideas That Will Please Everyone

I’ve been smashing through my Christmas shopping this year and feeling quite proud of myself. As a bonus, all this online shopping has led me to discover some pretty awesome gift ideas that I hope you will find helpful. I’ve put together my list based on things I would like to receive, i.e. non toxic, beautiful and practical. The product life and overall sustainability is also high on my priorities. 1. Give a gift that keeps on giving Oil Burner Everyone loves an oil burner – they infuse your home with your choice of natural scents (I’m loving jasmine and […]

Lessons from the Belle Gibson saga

No doubt you’ve all heard about the infamous creator of the very popular wellness app, The Whole Pantry, and its associated cookbook. From wellness guru to most hated woman in Australia, Belle Gibson leaves me with a tonne more questions than answers. Belle amassed thousands of followers on Instagram after sharing her story of being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer then turning to a holistic lifestyle curing herself. Off her social media popularity, she then launched TWP and is companion cookbook. She was incredible successful and we’ll known.  So what went wrong? Well she lied about basically everything. From the […]

I’ve moved!

Welcome to my new page… you may not even noticed you’ve been diverted, so surprise! My new page (in case you want to bookmark it) is www.untappedlife.com.au – only slightly different, but don’t forget to add the .au on the end. I’m now self-hosting, which was an interesting and challenging way to spend a week. I’m still not sure what FTP or CPanel is supposed to mean/do, but it seems somehow I fluked my way into getting the site back up and running. And like the adult I am, I didn’t even cry. Not even once! I hope you will enjoy […]

March: What I’m Loving Right Now

You know how sometimes you get hooked on a product, item of clothing or food and seem to just devour it for ages? This happens to me a fair bit. When I was a teen I was obsessed with Maggi 2 minute noodles. I would eat them as often as I could, and not much else. Oddly my mum thought I was anorexic (she clearly didn’t check the nutrition content) because I would be eating them once or twice a day. Fortunately I gave up that habit after a month or two, and now I’ve moved to far healthier obsessions. These […]

An Interview with Doreen Virtue

In this interview Doreen Virtue covers a few topics, including manifesting and listening to and following through with divine guidance. She talks from her own experiences, making each message easy to apply to your own life. For me, her discussion on divine guidance was a much needed message.

For about a year there’s been a little voice in my head telling me to start a blog. For about a year there’s also been another voice saying “yea right”.
One day, perhaps in a moment of weakness for my ego, I finally did it. Do I still have that second voice in my head every week telling me to delete it? You bet I do!

As much as it terrifies me having this blog, I need to trust that there’s a reason this idea was put in my head.

How can you tell the difference between divine guidance and your ego? Doreen discusses that too. Basically though, divine guidance is in the third person, “this is what you need to do” or “you can do this”, compared to the ego which is first person, “I can’t do this. I’m going to fail”.

Spirituality Matters

It was never my desire to get spiritual. That stuff is for whacked out hippies, which I am definitely not. Don’t get me wrong, I do like some alternative stuff. I’m all for eating quinoa and kale with a side of activated almonds, washed down by a glass of coconut milk kefir… However, spirituality was definitely not for me. After all, I am a very conservative, well-educated professional. Oh how life likes to tease us!

Oprah & Deepak Chopra, in Super Soul Sunday

I am a MASSIVE Oprah fan however most Aussies would only be familiar with her daytime talk show that finished airing years ago. However this is only scratching the surface of what makes her amazing. Oprah’s been running a series (also available as audio podcasts) called Super Soul Sunday. This series delivers “thought-provoking, eye-opening and inspiring sessions to help viewers [and listeners] awaken to their best selves and discover a deeper connection to the world around them.” Check out this blog post from an awesome woman called Kelli, who runs a paleo-inspired blog call Sassy & Paleoish. In the post […]
