Lush Lashes with Lavera Organic Makeup

Reviewing Lavera Organic Intense-Volumizing Mascara and Soft Eyeliner: Volumising is my favourite verb when it comes to beauty products. For anyone with fine hair, like me, you’ll develop a certain talent for sniffing out the volumising product in any range. Some leave us horribly disappointed, others moderately impressed and some very few will blow our minds, or more accurately, our hair. Volume is not just limited to the hair on our heads either, sometimes amping up your lashes is also equally important. So today, I’m trialing two lush Lavera products: Intense-Volumizing Mascara and Soft Eyeliner.

Paleo Beef Stroganoff

Feel like you’re missing out on creamy meals since switching to paleo or a dairy free life? Miss out no more, with this delicious Beef Stroganoff. It’s as good as the original, but without any of the tummy pain. I’ve even included Thermomix & Stove Top instructions to make life even easier for you. I am a big fan of creamy dishes but just can’t do a bowl full of milky food anymore. The pain is just not worth it! You can still make all your favourites though, irrespective of your dietary concerns. Sour cream is so easy to replicate […]

keep your pits fresh

Hardworking, natural & aluminium-free deodorants

Now that we’ve discussed the nasties hiding in antiperspirant deodorants, I hope I haven’t scared you off keeping your pits fresh entirely! Please do use deodorant. I don’t want to be accused of being a nutty tree hugger nor be responsible for the demise of your relationship! For the good news, there are plenty of safe, natural alternatives to keep you smelling lovely and fresh.

The stinky problem with antiperspirants

Deodorant – man’s greatest invention. I want you all to smell sweet and fresh at all times. But I do want you to be aware of the hidden dangers lurking inside your antiperspirant deodorant. Antiperspirant deodorant products often contain extremely toxic chemicals and heavy metals that can cause severe harm to the human nervous system. To rub such products under the arms is inviting the absorption of these harmful chemicals, which many believe will inevitably lead to cancer or neurological problems (such as Alzheimer’s disease). But rest assured, there are plenty of safe and natural alternatives to keep you popular […]

Be a bronzed goddess (the natural & sunless way)

I was more than happy to switch to organic make-up and bath products but I could not give up my fake tan. I’m pale and freckly, I need fake tan! For years there was no safe alternative for me to try, so I ignored my wiser-self and kept on slathering that St Tropez. But recently there have been a growth in the natural fake tan market so finally I have natural alternatives. As the demand for the stuff grows the market will keep on delivering. So far they’ve delivered pretty well! In the interest of safe beauty, I’ve kindly volunteered […]

better skin

Better skin in 28 days

The epidermis or surface layer of the skin is renewed every 28 days. Unfortunately that means patience is required when trialling any new product! But with this 28 day window, it gives us the opportunity to look better in only a month or so. So how is this achieved?

Leaky gut & autoimmune conditions

If, like me, you’re more of a visual learner you may appreciate this clip about leaky gut and autoimmune conditions. I like this clip because it’s short and concise but also simple to understand. For me, I don’t like being given a diagnosis and being sent on my way with a prescription. I need an explanation so I can better understand what’s going on in my body and then know how to look after it best. Continue reading
